AI & Technology Use Guidelines (for Students)

At Grandeur Academy, we use technology and AI tools to support learning, creativity, and communication. These tools should help you think better, not think for you. Your work must always reflect your own understanding and effort.

  • Use AI as a learning helper: Ask it to explain ideas, give examples, check your writing, or help you brainstorm.
  • Use school-approved tools: Stick to platforms and AI tools recommended by your teachers (e.g., Google Workspace, Khan Academy, Grammarly, etc.).
  • Be respectful online: Use polite language when messaging teachers or classmates. Never use technology to tease, bully, or exclude others.
  • Protect privacy: Never share your full name, address, passwords, or personal details with AI tools or on public platforms.
  • Give credit: If AI helped you, mention it (e.g., “I used AI to help organize my ideas”).
  • Think before you click: Always check if a website or tool is safe and appropriate for school use.
  • Don’t copy and paste AI answers as your own work. That’s plagiarism.
  • Don’t use AI during tests or quizzes unless your teacher allows it.
  • Don’t use technology to cheat, plagiarize, or mislead.
  • Don’t trust AI completely—it can make mistakes. Always double-check facts.
  • Don’t share inappropriate content or use AI to create hurtful, biased, or offensive material.
  • Use digital tools to help yourself and others learn better.
  • Treat your online classroom like a real one—be kind, listen, and respect different opinions.
  • Remember that behind every screen is a real person—be thoughtful and inclusive.
  • Report any misuse of technology or AI to your teacher right away.
  • Start your work on your own, then ask AI for feedback or suggestions.
  • Use prompts like:
  • “Help me understand this paragraph.”
  • “Give me three ways to start my story.”
  • “Explain this math step in simple terms.”
  • When working in groups online, collaborate respectfully and share responsibilities fairly.

Remember: Technology and AI are powerful tools. Use them ethically, responsibly, and respectfully to become a better learner and digital citizen.
